Park Jieun 8p is a new world champion

I was waiting for this moment for very long time :-) Park Jieun is one of my favourite female go player from Korea, so her today victory over Rui Naiwei 9p – the #1 in female go world – is the one of the most important happen in her go career.
In opening Rui Naiwei made one move which are questionable for me. I can’t understand why Rui Naiwei play at Black 27 so early. This move is gote, I thought black would play something like G5 or F15. With White 28 Park Jieun start very severe attack.
After some expected fights black moyo at upper side disappear. In yose Park Jieun found nice tesuji. The most funny thing is that Rui Naiwei centre group wasn’t alive until the late position, when the position turned into ko of the game. Rui Naiwei was in position when she couldn’t afford to lost this ko. Park Jieun was satisfied to take some stones in bottom left corner and win the game with solid margin.
Rui Naiwei need to recovery very fast. After two day she will play against Cho Hyeyeon 7p in second game of final for Female Myeongin – first game Rui won by 24,5 points.
P.S. After the tournament Park Jieun was promoted to 9dan. Congratulation!
