22 and 24 February, Lee Changho 9p from Korea and Kong Jie 9p from China play in the final of 14th LG Cup. Kong Jie 9p and Lee Changho 9p along with Lee Sedol 9p from Korea and Gu Li 9p from China are strongest players in the world, so the final was pretty exciting.
15-17 December, Kong Jie and Qiu Jun plays in 14th final of Samsung Cup. Samsung Cup is sponsored by Korean Company, so it’s pity that no Korean play in the final. Last year Kong Jie also play in the final but lost to Lee Sedol 2-0.
9-11 November, Juju, Korea held quarter- and semi-final of 14th LG Cup. In the result to final advance Lee Changho 9p (he beat Qiu Jun and Piao Wenyao) and Kong Jie 9p (he beat Choi Cheolhan and Park Yeonghun).
