Japan is out of Nongshim Cup
17 February, 3rd part of 10th Nongshim Cup was started and Chang Hao 9p beat Takao Shinji 9p. Chang Hao by winning this game eliminate Japan team from this tournament. Now result will be decided between Chang Hao and Gu Li from China, and Lee Sedol and Lee Changho from Korea.
Game started pretty complicated. Takao Shinji play very interesting in bottom right corner. After white 34 situation look little better for black. It is important to look at G4 stone, thanks to this stone white can’t extend with white 32 and was forced to give black ponnuki. After black 47 black build nice frameworks on both, left and right side. White decide to start big fight and invade on right side with black 48.
Fight on right side was little messy, but when black connect all right side with 107 the situation was more or less fixed. Later black cut white position in center with black 137 and change black situation from not so good to really bad. After 207 moves Takao Shinji resigned. Tomorrow Chang Hao will play against #1 from Korea: Lee Sedol 9p
