5 Centimeters Per Second
I don’t write a lot of private post on this blog, but after watching 5 Centimeter Per Second I feel that i must to share it with all people i can. This is masterpiece. From a very long time i didn’t watch any movie which i enjoy in truly way until today!!!
5 Centimeter Per Second is Japanese movie from Makoto Shinkai. All movie is divided in 3 episodes. First one titled: Oukashou is about two teenagers – Akari and Takaki – who have own plan for they future, very normal. Unfortunately both families are forced to relocate. After some time Takaki took long journey to meet Akari. Second episode: Cosmonaut describe Takaki life in senior high school in Tanegashima. His classroom friend, Kanae Sumita had some feeling to him, but he seems to looking for something else, he also isn’t sure what it is. He even write text messages to noone. Last episode is about reunion between Akari and Takaki.
The story itself look very typical, without deep pseudo-philosophical accents. The movie itself is pure are brilliant. It isn’t typical romance, but something which will dug into your deepest emotions and draw them on top. Concept itself is brilliant enough, but if you add fantastic animation and stirring piano you will get movie of year in 2007.
If you want to watch this get DVD version or go to cinema. 5 Centimetres per second is this type of work which you must watch on possibility biggest screen you can obtain. Actually i’m addicted to OST and listening it over and over again.
There is one stepback after watching this movie. I’m aware that i will need to wait very long to moment when I again see something like that.
