Big trouble for Japan in Jeongganjang
Park Jieun after stopping Song Ronghui, defeated Suzuki Ayumi from Japan team. Japan have only one more member who can play Umezawa Yukari. Japan never have good results in this tournament, but this time Japan can end without single win and be terminatated in second stage.
Suzuki Ayumi took black stones and play mini-Chinese opening. White 8 is standard but Black 9 is rare answer. After variation on right side, black is in hurry and have many problems (white 8 is big aji). Next moves were pretty standard and both side try to play very solid. Unfortunately for Suzuki Ayumi after black 35 bottom side look not so good. Black position is low and for me little over concentrated.
All big points in opening were taken, so Park Jieun start fight on right side with white 36. After some forcing moves in upper right corner, Suzuki Ayumi desperate try to secure more and more territory. Park Jieun on other hand build strength. The rest of the game is great example how to use strength to attack weak groups and get huge profit (for example: white 68). After 144 moves Suzuki Ayumi resigned.
There will be two more game in second stage of 7th Jeongganjang Cup. Umezawa Yukari will fight for Japan honor, but of course first China will send one of they members to the field. Very entertaining edition of Jeongganjang Cup.
