8th Jeongganjang just started
22 September 8th Jeonnganjang tournament started with match between Korea and China. Last year China won the title with incredible victory with only two members: Song Ronghui 4p and Li He 2p. Chinese team is more or less the same but Korea team is much weaker this year (there are not so strong players like: Lee Minjin 5p or Lee Hajin 3p). In first game Wang Chenxing 2p from China easily won against Kim Yunyoung 1p from Korea.
Game was little weird. Kim Yunyoung first made nice wall in bottom right corner than switched to upper side and give white chance to reduce black potential on bottom side. Later black was forced to start fight on bottom side. Unfortunately black didn’t gain a lot from this attack. When both sides entered endgame white was ahead about komi, but it seems that Wang Chenxing earn some points in last part of the game and finally won by 10,5 points.
Tomorrow Mukai Chiaki Yoshida Mika from Japan will face Wang Chenxing.
