Cho Hyeyeon beat Rui Naiwei
15 January Cho Hyeyeon 8p and Rui Naiwei 9p play in 1st game of 11th Female Myeongin final. Cho Hyeyeon show great skill and won the game by resignation.
Cho Hyeyeon play very thick game. In opening she had only one weak group in upper side. She handled this group very nicely with beautiful sabaki. Several moves latter she again play nice tesuji.
Game looks good for black but Cho Hyeyeon wasn’t soft hearted and play outstanding final blow with black 111. After 291 moves Rui Naiwei resigned.
Last year Cho Hyeyeon also won first game in best of 3 games final in Female Myeongin, but lost following two. I hope this victory is good omen. Will she win 11th Femae Myeongin? Please share in comment section.
