Rui Naiwei won first game in final of Female Kuksu

20 February, Rui Naiwei 9p beat Lee Hajin 3p by resignation in final of Female Kuksu tournament. Champion will be decided in best-of-3, so Rui Naiwei need only one more game to won this title.

Opening was pretty common until both side start to fight in upper left corner. In first place white 36 was little shocking, but when Lee Hajin play nice tesuji (white 48) situation look even. Main question was: how many points white can get in center?

With black 51 situation goes from upper left corner to bottom side. Fight was pretty complex, but when white play white 68 instead of do-or-die hane at 69 I feel that black is little favorable. Later Lee Hajin sacrifice three stones to build some territory in center. Unfortunately Rui Naiwei found nice move (black 113) and destroy all white territory in center. After 133 moves Lee Hajin resigned.

Next game will be played 9 March. To win title Lee Hajin must to win two next games. It won’t be easy, but I have faith that she will win this title.
